JR/SR League

Welcome to Coul-Oak LL’s Junior/Senior League page. Little League’s Junior (ages 12-14) and Senior League (13-16) programs provide local youth with a chance to continue playing baseball on a full-sized field with their friends in a fun, competitive and structured environment.

Coul-Oak LL’s Junior/Senior program is part of North Carolina’s District 3. As part of this affiliation, our teams play other Junior/Senior Leagues from across Mecklenburg County during a Spring and Fall season. Junior/Senior League home games are held at Coulwood Middle School. All players must live in or attend a school located in Coul-Oak LL Boundary to be eligible with limited exceptions.

Spring Season:

The Spring season begins in late April as middle and high school seasons end. Two games and one practice are typical from early May through middle June. At the end of the Spring season, Coul-Oak LL will choose an All-Star team from each division based on player eligibility and interest. The Junior and Senior League All-Star teams will compete in NC District 3’s tournament in late June followed by state, regional and potentially end with the World Series in late July.

Fall Season:

The Fall season begins in late August and typically runs through late October. Similar to Spring, the weekly schedule is typically two games and one practice throughout the season. Unlike Spring, the Fall will not have All-Stars or a World Series. The intent of Coul-Oak LL’s Fall season is focused on player development and the fun of playing baseball.

Evaluations:

The max size for each regular season team will be 12 players with a minimum of 10 players per team. These limitations are designed to maximize playing & instruction time throughout the season. Due to limitations on team size and availability of practice fields, an evaluation will be held prior to the season start to determine teams. Tentatively, these evaluations will be held in mid-April (Spring season) and late-August (Fall season) with specific dates being sent by Coul-Oak LL.
