Winter Workouts 2026 - Baseball and Softball

Winter Workouts are an off season workout program beginning January 11 and ending the weekend before player evaluations for the Spring Little League season (Sunday, February 8).

Baseball Workouts will be on Sunday afternoon from 2:00pm to 3:30pm (see Session information below), with sessions including hitting, fielding, pitching, catching, speed and agility and mental preparedness. Workouts are conducted by CO staff and paid outside coaches to provide the opportunity for players to prepare for the upcoming season.

Softball Workouts will be held on Sunday afternoons from 3:30pm to 5:00pm (see Session information below) with sessions including hitting, fielding, pitching, catching, speed and agility and mental preparedness. Workouts are conducted by CO staff and paid outside coaches to provide the opportunity for players to prepare for the upcoming season.

Players are separated into age appropriate groups and work on skills needed for the division they will play.

This Year Winter Workouts will begin Sunday, January 11 and will be held at:

Rise Up Sports, 3395 Denver Drive, Denver, NC 28037

Session 1 - 2:00 - 3:30 pm Baseball

Session 2 - 3:30 - 5:00 pm Softball

There will be separate breakout sessions for players interested in Pitching and Catching clinics. Pitching clinics are open to players 9 years and older for baseball.

There will be separate breakout sessions for players interested in Softball Pitching on Thursday evenings at the Coul-Oak Clubhouse at 6pm.

Spring registration for all Softball Divisions. NOTE: You will have the choice to pay by check or by credit card during checkout.

* CHECKS MUST ARRIVE IN OUR PO BOX BEFORE YOUR TRYOUT DATE TO SETTLE YOUR ACCOUNT OR YOU CAN PAY BY CASH OR CHECK ON TRYOUT DAY.

* EARLY Pay - $25 discount for registration before January 31, 2026

* After Tryouts, a $25 late fee will occur for registrations after that date for baseball divisions.

* Please write your ORDER NUMBER in the memo field, make payable to “CoulOak Little League”

FAMILY DISCOUNT: $10 Discount for each additional family player you register

Refund Policy: $10 Processing fee for cancelled registrations, 50% refund for cancelled registrations after February 20th

Spring 2026 Baseball

Spring registration for all Baseball Divisions. NOTE: You will have the choice to pay by check or by credit card during checkout.

Teeball - one practice during the week (each team will have a designated practice day) and games on Saturday mornings (player / coach requests are honored where possible)

Modified Machine Pitch - one practice during the week, games on Saturday late morning. Kids receive three pitches, followed by the use of the tee if they are not successful. (player / coach requests are honored where possible)

Machine Pitch - competitive division, runs and outs are counted. Two games a week, one during the week and one on Saturday, another night of practice during the week.

Minors - first division of kid pitch, two games during the week, one practice during the week. Weekend games will be every other weekend for some divisions to allow for tournaments for challenge players.

Majors - kid pitch division for 10 year olds to 12 year olds. Two games during the week, one practice during the week.

2025 Winter Soccer

Winter League Soccer is a no frills competitive youth soccer league. The league will provide structure, game officials, and a field for an 6 - 10 game season, 12/3/2023 through 3/2/2024. Uniforms will not be provided by the league but a color will be picked for each team to wear.

5 v 5 1 Keeper 4 in the field

Roster 8 per team

Games will be played Outside

Age Groups will be determined after signups are complete

This is not soccer as you are use to, games are played on a small field (100'X80') with 4' walls surrounding it, the ball is played off the wall, and the clock never stops. A full list of rules will be provided before the games but think soccer inside a hockey rink.
